As a rep for Mila Kunis announced last week, all those rumours of Jackie and Kelso getting together in real life were false. “They’ve been friends for years and they had dinner with a bunch of friends,” the rep told Celebuzz after X17 found Kunis and Ashton Kutcher grabbing a sushi supper together. “They’re not dating.”
Much as we’d love to believe that some X17 reporter fell asleep while watching That ’70s Show reruns, only to wake believing his steamy nightmares to be real, the “just friends” angle is harder to take now that People magazine has discovered Kunis and Kutcher together again.
Sure, they could be friends. But they’re also friends with benefits — and by benefits, we’re only referring to the rest, relaxation and occasional paparazzi attention a three-day couples holiday brings.
People reports that Kunis and Kutcher left L.A. together Thursday, driving to a coastal town just south of Santa Barbara where they spent the weekend going for (another) sushi dinner, shopping, and, as per People, spending “plenty of time in private.” (Cue the That ’70s Show “woo” track.)
It seems they stayed together until Sunday, as the magazine’s witnesses last saw the would-be couple early that day on a coffee run, but according to People, Kutcher, at least, was back in L.A. later that day, where he was spotted courtside at a Lakers game.
Reps for the actors haven’t talked to People about the report, but the magazine’s source says that whatever is — or isn’t — going on, Kutcher has been smitten with Kunis since their sitcom days. “He was so in love with her for a while when they worked together,” says the mag’s source. “He thought she was a goddess, was always talking about how beautiful she is. But she was with Macaulay [Culkin] for a lot of that time and also just generally gave off a not interested vibe.”
The snitch continued: “It never happened, but I’m not surprised by this — at all.”
Kunis and Culkin ended their eight-year romance in 2010. Kutcher — well, does the phrase “Hard Rock Hotel hot tub” mean anything to you? Since splitting from Demi Moore, his wife of six years, the Two and a Half Men star has been linked to everyone from Rihanna to screenwriter Lorene Scafaria.
